Enterprise digital twins for plants

Culenz builds digital twins: interactive 3D models of plants, buildings or assets that show live or recorded data. Teams use them to train staff, plan changes and see equipment status in one place.

01 — Overview

Enterprise digital twins explained

A digital twin is a 3D model of a real asset linked to data from that asset. Sensor readings, maintenance records or schedules appear on the model itself. Teams see what is happening and test changes before making them in the real plant.

A digital twin is an interactive 3D model of a real plant, building or asset, linked to its data. Teams see status, history and plans on the model itself.

Instead of searching spreadsheets and drawings, people click a machine and see its readings and records. Decisions get faster and clearer.

Culenz builds digital twins for factories, warehouses, campuses, infrastructure and heritage sites in India and Dubai.

02 — What's included

What you get

  • Model from real sources

Built from CAD, BIM, laser scans or photos of the site.

  • Data connections

Linked to sensor feeds, spreadsheets or maintenance systems through their APIs.

  • Views for each role

Operators, managers and trainees each see the data they need.

  • Training on the twin

New staff learn the plant layout in VR before walking the real floor.

03 — Key features

Enterprise digital twins in depth

  1. 01

    Building the 3D model

We build the twin from CAD, BIM, laser scans or photos of the site. The source decides how accurate and detailed the model can be.

Models are optimised so they run smoothly on ordinary laptops, large screens or VR headsets. Detail goes where it matters most.

  2. 02

    Connecting live and recorded data

The twin links to sensor feeds, production systems, maintenance logs or spreadsheets through their APIs. Data appears on the model where it belongs.

Twins can start with recorded data and add live feeds later. That proves value before a bigger integration project.

  3. 03

    A virtual factory for planning

Planners test new layouts, lines and equipment in the virtual factory before changing the real one. They check fit, flow and access in 3D.

Problems found in the twin cost far less to fix than problems found on the shop floor.

  4. 04

    Training on the twin

New staff learn the plant layout in VR before they walk the real floor. They find equipment, exits and hazards in advance.

Procedures can be practised on the twin too. That links the digital twin to the same records as VR safety training.

  5. 05

    Views for each role

Operators, engineers, managers and trainees each see the data they need. A manager sees status across the site, while an engineer sees one machine in detail.

Access rules keep sensitive data visible only to the right people.

  6. 06

    Starting small

Most organisations start with one line, building or asset. That keeps the first project focused and shows results quickly.

Once it works, the twin grows to cover more of the site. Each step builds on the model and data connections already in place.

  7. 07

Digital twins for campuses and infrastructure

Beyond factories, twins help manage campuses, hospitals, airports and utilities. Facility teams see rooms, assets and maintenance status on one model.

Infrastructure owners use twins to plan works and brief contractors. Everyone sees the same accurate picture of the site.

04 — Our process

Our digital twin delivery process

Every project starts with a free scoping call to agree goals, audience, venue, devices and dates. You then receive a written scope with dated milestones.

We gather your files, build a first draft and review it with you, in the headset or on site. Final content, testing and installation follow.

After launch, our crew runs the experience or hands it over with training. An annual maintenance contract can cover support, repairs and updates.

  1. 01

    Scope

We agree goals, audience, venue, devices and dated milestones, and you sign off the scope.

  2. 02

    Capture and storyboard

We gather plans, photos or scans and build a draft for you to review in the headset or on screen.

  3. 03

    Build

Final models, content and interactions are added and tested on the target device.

  4. 04

    Integrate and rehearse

Hardware is wired in, and the experience is rehearsed at the venue or a mock-up.

  5. 05

    Run and support

Our crew runs it or hands it over, followed by a review and a maintenance plan.

05 — Planning your project

Budget and the right partner

Pricing

Digital twin pricing factors

Cost depends mainly on how much content is custom, the hardware involved and how long the experience runs. On-site crew and travel add to event projects.

Reusing your existing CAD, BIM, footage or brand assets lowers cost. Building from photos or 2D drawings takes more modelling time.

We send an itemised quote after the scoping call. Content, hardware, crew and support are listed separately, so you see what each part costs.

Checklist

Choosing your digital twin partner

  • Ask to see work the team has delivered, and who will actually build yours. Check that the same people stay on your project from scope to launch.
  • Ask how they test on the real device or venue, and what happens if something fails on the day. A clear answer shows real delivery experience.
  • Finally, ask for an itemised quote and a dated schedule. Vague estimates usually lead to surprises later in the project.

07 — FAQs

Questions buyers often ask

Do we need IoT sensors to build a digital twin?

No, a twin can start with a 3D model and existing data, such as maintenance logs or schedules. Live sensor feeds can be added later. Starting small proves value on one line or building before you connect the whole site.

How long does it take to build a digital twin?

It depends on the size of the site, the source data and the systems to connect. A twin of one production line takes far less time than a full campus. We give a dated plan after reviewing your drawings and data sources.

Can a digital twin run in VR?

Yes. The same twin can run on screens for daily use and in VR headsets for training and design reviews. VR lets teams walk the plant at full scale and inspect equipment closely.

Who owns the digital twin and its data?

You do. The model, content and data connections are delivered to you under the project agreement. Data stays in your systems, and the twin reads it under the access rules your IT team sets.
